Majority in Ghana uses more than one network and sometimes get stranded when needed an airtime from one network to the other but, finds it very difficult to go about it. 

You can bypass this stress or fix this problem by a USSD method. In this article I’ll take you through how one will be able to buy an airtime from one network to the other. 

NB: This works on all networks in Ghana 


1st Method (Tingg method)

  1. Dial *234#
  2. Select (buy airtime) #1
  3. Choose the network you’re sending the airtime to
  4. Type the recipient number 
  5. Type in the amount you want to send 
  6. Choose option 1 to proceed 
  7. Select your mobile money network 
  8. Wait for authorization pop up message and enter your mobile money pin 
  9. Select option 1 (Yes)
  10. You’ll get a message saying “you’ve successfully purchased airtime from your mobile money account”

2nd Method: (Move method)

  1. Dial *718#
  2. Select option 3 (Buy Airtime/Data)
  3. Select “Airtime” 
  4. Choose option 2 (others)
  5. Select the recipient network 
  6. Enter recipient number 
  7. Enter an amount 
  8. Select option 1 to confirm 
  9. Wait for the authorization pop up and enter your mobile money pin 
  10. You’ll receive a message i.e you’ve successfully airtime from your mobile money account.
